Attached to You by Lindsay Paige!!!

Synopsis:

Brayden Hayes is all work and no play. Meeting one woman is all it takes to finally force himself to find a balance between work on the ice and relationships away from it. If there’s one thing Brayden is sure of, it’s that he wants to keep her around and make their time together worthwhile.

Deanna Mitchell hops from guy to guy because she doesn’t want to settle for just anyone. She has made a lot of mistakes, but deciding to see Brayden is not one of them. She thinks. What she feels around him makes her think he could be the one.

While Deanna remains unsure, Brayden is going all in and he’s ready to face whatever problems arise. Together, they discover that finding a balance isn’t hard when you’re with the right person.

Sunny's Review:

I really thought I was going to totally love this book. Normally I like the quiet captain that doesn't say a whole lot and then when they get their book I am so in love!  I know this sounds like this is going to be a bad review so Lindsay Paige, if you are reading this, read the whole thing.

Brayden is the captain of the Carolina Rebels and focuses only on his career. He is great at it and knows that he has a limited time to play. I like that about him but he is really kind of a jerk. I am fine with him being focused on his career and he actually puts a lot of that aside for Deanna. I really did not like the way he treated his mother. I felt like even though he is a loner and his mom was a little nosey he was really a jerk to her. Other than that, I was okay with Brayden but he is definitely not my favorite character in this series.

Deanna is one of my least favorite characters of all time. Yes I am putting her up there with
Bella from Twilight and Ana from 50 Shades. There are a couple of others ones that are up there too. I just did not find any really redeeming factors for Deanna. She was not a horrible person that was killing anyone but she was just kind of whiny with a poor pitiful me attitude. I understand a bad home life but she was using that as an excuse to not have any rules as an adult. She made bad decisions and was very immature. She was reckless with Brayden's reputation even after she knew who he was.

As far as the story line went, it was pretty good. Brayden had to figure out to balance hockey and life. It took him a bit but he started figuring it out. Deanna had to learn to let her past relationships go and focus on her future. She finally started to get it. I liked that the conflict between Brayden and Deanna was not cleared up immediately. It made the story feel a little more realistic.

I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5. This is definitely not my favorite of this series but it was still a good book.

It's Our Time by Lindsay Paige!!!

Blurb:

Ian Rhett has made mistakes when it comes to the only woman he's ever wanted, and all he wants is a chance to show her that he can be the man she needs him to be. He's determined to make things work between them and he's stubborn enough that he won't be giving up.

Sydney Jarvis trusts Ian with her friendship and her body, but she made the mistake of trusting him with her heart once and she isn't so sure she should trust him again. She wants him in her life, and he'll be there one way or another, but she isn't sure she can let go of the past to move forward.

Secrets are discovered that strain their relationship even more, but these two have never been able to stay away from one another. Will their history help hold them together as they work out their kinks as a couple or will it be the very thing that causes their relationship to end?

Sunny's Review:

I recommend that you read Us At First before jumping into It's Our Time. I don't think that you will like the characters as much if you don't read the beginning of their story. I totally fell in love with Ian in Us At First and my feelings did not change in this book. I wanted to slap him a few times but I still love him. I like Sydney a little bit less in this book but I definitely do not hate her. Stop reading if you have not read Us At First--there are SPOILERS!

Ian and Sydney ended on a horrible note when she graduated high school. I understand the stress that they each had trying to have a non-relationship in high school and college. They were way too far apart and it would not have worked out. When Sydney tried to contact Ian with her secret and did not receive a response from him, she basically wrote him off. Then a couple of year later, he showed back up and she realized that he never got her messages. She decided she could not tell him now and only had a physical relationship with him. Ian can't figure out why Sydney refuses to be more than a friend with benefits, using the word friend loosely. He is finally at a point in his life where they can have a relationship but he does keep a secret from her too.

Once they each find out what the other is hiding, the world tilts for them both. Ian pretty much forgives Sydney almost immediately and tries to make up for not being in her life for a couple of years. Sydney can't seem to let go of what happened in the past. That is one of the biggest reasons I could not like her in this book. I tried to sympathize with her but I couldn't. I was totally on Ian's side on the fights.

I really liked this book. I read it fairly quickly and really enjoy this series. I am giving this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Us At First by Lindsay Paige!

Synopsis:

Ian Rhett is seventeen when he meets Sydney. She's gorgeous, blushes easily, and has a southern accent. Ian can't help but talk to her and get to know her while she's in town.

When Sydney goes home, they keep in touch by texting and talking over of the phone, becoming closer and closer.

Sydney Jarvis can't believe a chance encounter at sixteen led her to a guy she talks to every single day. Ian's her best friend, who is somehow more than just a friend.

They're young, in love, and the one person they want most, they can't have. Not yet, at least.

This is a prequel novella for Ian Rhett in the Carolina Rebels series.

Sunny's Review:

I really like this series but I was not looking forward to this book. (Sorry Lindsay Paige) I was thinking that I did not want to read about Ian in high school and I was just reading it because I didn't want to be lost when the fourth book comes out. I was wrong. I really loved this story.

Ian and Sydney meet at the airport and become fast friends. Of course, they are both attracted to the other one but they don't make that the basis of the friendship at first. They spend time together while Sydney is town and then continue to talk and text. This helps establish a solid friendship and they do get to fall in love with each other's personalities. When Ian goes to college, he makes sure that he goes to see Sydney when he can and I absolutely adore him. I like Sydney too and honestly I can't believe what happens in this book. When I finished it, it was very hard not to send a hate email for ending the book where it was and then sending another begging email for the next book.

This is a very short read to give you the background on Sydney and Ian. I can't wait for the next book. I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5. It is short and sweet.

Because It's You by Lindsay Paige!!!

Synopsis:

Marc Polinski is known for having fun, always smiling, and being a third wheel for his friends, Noah and Meredith. A rare one night stand at a Halloween party and running into the woman again sets Marc on a path of no return. He can’t walk away from her, even if he wanted to, and he absolutely doesn’t want to do that.

Elizabeth Boyd hasn’t dated in a long time and if it wasn’t for her sister-in-law, she wouldn’t have been pushed toward the seemingly bad idea of Marc Polinski. She’s not sure she wants to date, but she can’t seem to turn Marc down either. Little by little, she lets Marc wiggle past all of her defenses.

Their relationship is rocky from the start, and with both of them having demons and secrets, things between them are a struggle. Will they be able to overcome their pasts, let each other in, and start building a life together or will they find they were doomed from the start?

Sunny's Review:

I totally fell in love with Marc in Back To Me so I was looking froward to this book from the moment I found out it was being written. I was not disappointed. I totally love Marc even more in this book. He is so sweet and still funny but not annoyingly funny. I hope that makes sense. I thought Elizabeth was a little annoying at first but the more I found out about her past the more it made sense. I really ended up loving her too. She was standoffish with Marc and did not want anything to do with him but he broke her walls down. Both Marc and Elizabeth had messed up pasts and I am happy that it took them a while to work through it. While there was instant attraction they still worked hard to figure everything out.

If recommend this book to anyone to anyone that wants a good, sweet read. There are some rough moments but this book is really good. I am giving it 4.5 stars out if 5.

Sunny's Review:

I did not know a lot about this book before reading it. I knew it was about hockey and that I have liked the previous books written by Lindsay Paige. So I decided to give this one a shot and I was not disappointed. I was not a huge fan of Meredith for most of the book. I have no issue with her choosing her career over Noah when they were in college. I don't believe that everyone that should be together will last if they try to force it when they are young. There is a chance I am being a little hard on her. She is going through a lot in her life. I think the biggest problem I have is that she wanted to go back to Noah and thought that would fix her problems. I can't imagine if everything I worked for was taken away. I don't know how I would react so maybe I need to be a little more sympathetic to Meredith. I loved Noah from the beginning but again was a little annoyed with him. He is obviously a great guy and takes care of his friends and family. I was annoyed because he did not really have any issue with Meredith. He was just so calm about it and I would think that he would be livid with her. By the end of the book, after hearing both of their sides, I was pretty happy with them. They both had some stuff go on in their lives and their stories were interesting.

I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5. It is not my favorite story but it is still really good and I recommend it.
