Jenna Thompson lives in Derbyshire in the UK with her dashing husband Neil, her two adorable children Ronnie and Rosie and their little ginger dog Sally!

Jenna fell in love with supernatural / paranormal fiction with the release of Twilight (gasp!) and from there, her love of the genre grew and grew and pretty soon, a story of her own began to etch its way into her brain.

Whilst having the privilege of being a ‘stay at home’ mum, she discovered her love of writing and one warm spring day whilst sat in the garden watching the kids play she began putting down onto paper the conversations and images that filled her head.

Through the constant support and encouragement of a very close friend, ‘Violet Awakening’ was born and she hasn’t stopped writing since!

Jenna is incredibly proud to present ‘Violet Awakening’ as the first book in the trilogy. Here’s hoping you enjoy reading it, as much as she enjoyed writing it...

A dark, ominous presence swallowed up any calm that a summer’s night generally brought. I swallowed thickly as I realised that presence was similar to the one that haunted my dreams. I knew that somehow it had climbed out of my warped mind and was set to unleash havoc.

Another blood curdling scream erupted from the street, making my blood run cold and the hairs on my neck stand on end. My heart pounded frantically in my chest. I tried to suck myself into the wall once again. I hated myself for allowing the woman to be tormented and for being a chicken shit. I leaned to the right again and watched from the shadows.

The tall one tried to wrestle the woman to the floor while the smaller one called Felix held her legs. She thrashed her body about and I admired the fight in her.

“It’s always the ones that fight that taste so good.” The tall one drawled and I winced when he back handed her sharply across her face. Something about the flash of blonde hair was familiar to me but the disturbing display in front of me demanded my thoughts. I couldn’t afford to be sidetracked.

The woman slumped in the tall one’s arms as all of the fight drained from her with the blood that poured from her cheek. He leaned in to her. And with what looked like a claw instead of a hand, he wiped one of its disfigured white fingers across her cheek. He lapped the blood from his skin like a cat would milk. Whatever breath I had in my lungs whooshed from me. The disturbing image repulsed me, making my throat burn as bile surged. I bent at the middle trying not to retch. My body began to shake violently at the horrific sight. The woman groaned and it was that pathetic sound that pushed me out of my hiding place and into the street. I couldn’t stand by and watch this happen.

Synopsis
A Novella
My name is Autumn Winters.
The truth is, that's the biggest lie I've ever told.
My real name is Olivia Redmund. Autumn Winters is the curtain I hide behind. You see, I write bestselling erotic romance novels. But my life is far from erotic. The only fantasy exists in my head.
The day I met Hunter Grayson, that all changed. A handsome stranger on a train who turned my world upside down, made me think and feel things I never knew were possible.
But he's hiding, too.
What happens when I slowly realize that who I truly am is more similar to who I'm pretending to be? I want to be brave enough to tell the world, but the fear is crippling.
Fear of myself. Fear of the unknown. Fear of what others will think.
But life is too short to be afraid.
And I'm so damn tired of hiding.
**This is an Adult Contemporary Romance and due to strong language and sexual content, is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

Excerpt
“Shit,” I mumble to myself when I spy the pink vibrator, glaring proof of my non-existent sex life now on public display. “God damn it,” I utter again, shaking my head and scrambling to grab it, when I notice a pair of beautiful, masculine hands scooping up my belongings. Completely mortified, my cheeks flush a deep red, and I’m silently praying he hasn’t spotted my favorite sex toy. My eyes make their way from the ground, climbing past the hands and up the length of strong, muscular arms to an absolutely gorgeous face, and I take a hard swallow. A chiseled jaw with a hint of stubble, irises the color of aged brandy, a sharp, sculptured nose, and perfectly tousled hair that matches his hypnotic eyes. I don’t realize that I’m staring until his lips quirk up into a grin. Could I be any more obvious? He tosses the items back in my purse and nods toward the vibrator. “I’ll let you handle that one,” he offers, his voice a rich timbre to my ears. “Although,” he whispers, leaning in close, “I’m sure I could put it to good use.” My mouth drops open in surprise, just as he reaches his thumb out to skim my bottom lip. “I’m pretty sure I could put this sexy mouth to good use, too.”

Darra's Review:

The first thing I thought about the first 30 pages was OMFG! I don’t think I blinked for at least 30 minutes. Speaking of, I need new contacts. Right from the first page, it slaps you in the face and gets your attention. I felt for Eden in the beginning. And Dominic, let us just say I will not forget him as a main character. I am sure he will make one of my lists. But you have to read more to find out which one.

It was a really good plot that was unexpected. Both characters were cunning, deceitful but appealing.

There are life transformations that occur in this book and continued till the end. I truly liked the book and it is one I will remember. Which is huge because I can’t remember any name of the books I read. Surprising I still remember Sunny’s name.
I give the book a 4.5. Interesting all the way till the end. The expectation I had in the start of the book completely changed when I finished the epilogue. Read the book and find out why.

Sunny's Review:

This book had my mouth dropped from page one. I could not put the book down. You start out hating both characters and not knowing if they will ever redeem themselves. I realize most people will want to be on Eden's side from the beginning but I just didn't get on board with her. She was just as much to blame for her circumstances as Dominic was. As you go along you think ok I am going to be Team Eden but then you realize that she is just as deceitful as Dominic and can actually hold her own. Dominic is overbearing and cruel but Eden can be cold and manipulative too. I do like that she did take control of her life and did stand up to Dominic when it counted.

I was on the edge of my seat through this whole book. I mean I literally could not put it down and the whole time I kept thinking please let these people redeem themselves. I did stop reading when I had about 20% left because I knew what I wanted to happen but I was not sure the author was going to give me what I wanted. I am not going to tell you if it worked out the way I want it.

I am giving this book 4.6 stars out of 5. I can't tell you enough to go get this book. I will say it is not all sparkles and sunshine but you will be floored.

****Warning the following excerpt is for 18+ only****
“Soon, sweetie, I promise,” he soothed. She moaned softly as he licked her ear, dropped soft warm kisses across her shoulder blades, he moved down her back, a wet tongue and hot mouth traced and kissed each vertebrae, making a slow and steady progress down her spine. It was a torturous progression that boiled the blood in Eden’s veins as she waited in bated anticipation. Breath stilled in her lungs, eyes widening when he drew apart her butt cheeks and ran his tongue down the wet crevice, from clit to the puckered rosebud of her hole and back again. It was undoubtedly one of the most erotic things he’d ever done to her body, and Eden didn’t know how to breathe properly. She gripped the sheets beneath her hands and bit down hard on her bottom lip to keep from screaming.
It was like a shot of adrenaline straight into her vein. It was blood vessels dilating, her heart galloping uncontrollably in her chest, it was gasping for breath when the air she drew in wasn’t enough. He owned her body, ate it like sun ripened peaches and drank the flowing juices of her weeping womanhood with his rapacious tongue. There were fingers there, slipping between the folds to dive deep into her blistering heat, while his thumb worked at her puckered hole, his wicked, wicked mouth showing Eden exactly how very little she knew her of own body. There was nothing but the explicitness of this act, the hyper awareness that made her feel like each inch of her body was struck by lightning, that killed her and gave her life all in one electrifying jolt. He was merciless and perfect, inviting her to shove her hips back and ride his face.
Death was imminent, sweet cataclysmic death seduced her into the gaping, welcoming arms of her orgasm. She plummeted, shattered into delicious little pieces on his tongue and fingers. Recuperating wasn’t in the stars for her as he gripped her hips and plunged into her depths in one long stroke. Pulling her arms and folding them at the small of her back, he held them there with one large hand as he sank in deeper, so deep that it hurt so good. Ass high in the air, face down in the sheets, Eden was at his complete mercy, filled to absolute capacity with his cock, and she whimpered, the vulnerability of her position giving her a sweet high.
“I’m going to beat this pussy, Eden, and you’re going to scream my name.”
And she did, a promise made completely true as he fucked her like a porn star. She screamed like the world was falling, his repeated strike against her G-spot making her see stars. It was too damn much, his jarring thrusts so deep that she could taste him, spurred her fall and she orgasmed on every inch of his cock.
Francette lives in Massachusetts with her amazingly supportive husband of ten years and her darling two year old son. Reading amazing books has led her to writing and she’s dabbled in fan-fiction before self-publishing her own works. She’s constantly thinking up new stories to write and does her best work when music is playing in the background. Romance is where she’s most comfortable but she hopes to one day venture in mystery novels. She has a weakness for coffee ice cream, tropical fruits and a good glass of wine.

LUX: Beginnings Cover Reveal by Jennifer Armentrout!

Obsidian
There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.
Onyx
Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?
