If you were not aware, I LOOVVEE Penny Reid. And I also love all the Winston Men and Ashley. This family is amazing and you will wish you were part of. I did meet with Penny when the first book came out, Truth & Beard, and I begged for more Cletus. Penny has never let me down when it comes to unique characters. This is just the same for Beard Science. I always recommend Penny Reid's to everyone I know. They become an instant fan. All her characters are three dimensional and over exceed all others you will read.

About Cletus. He is extremely smart and eccentric. I honestly can say he is my favorite of all of Penny's characters. When you learn more about him in Truth or Beard, you will think he is just goofy. Going to high school to learn more about Calculus?! Has everyone's secrets and his back pocket and will use what is needed to keep his family safe and also get what he wants. I could truly write a five page essay for all my love for Cletus, but you will nod off by the end.

Jenn was mentioned in previous books about the Banana Cake Queen. Thought she may possibly be a little loonie like the other small minded people in that town. However she turned out to be so much more. Although very timid, she finds a way to manipulate Cletus to get what she wants. But do not think she is vindictive person, she just needs to get out of the place her parents put her in. You will want her to have that happily ever after. However what does this have to do with Cletus? 

You will find out! Life does not stand still for the Winston Boys. They have a deep connection with all who they love and it made me fall in love with all of them. Whatever brother that comes next(I know, you will find out soon), I can't wait to read! 

I rate the book a 4.8. Penny's writing is like no other. Well written and her intellect thrives through all her characters.
