About HEARTBREAKER:

Kiki Michaelson wants one wild night to forget her starving-artist worries. Simple. Only instead of Darren Cole becoming her one-night stand, he taunts her with a challenge. Then while she’s trying to best him at his own game, he turns out to be the last thing she’s prepared for: someone she wants to keep. Which means all he can ever be…is a friend.

Darren Cole never allows a girl to get close—not close enough to matter. Then storms in Kiki Michaelson, a beautiful, fearless temptation that rocks his world off-balance. But he fights their attraction, unwilling to gamble something physical with their close ties. Until the passionate sculptor exposes her heart and breaks his wide open. In that moment it becomes clear: she could never be just a friend.

Sometimes what you run from…is exactly what you need.

Darra's Review:

When starting this book, I thought it was going to be a one night stand and then the repercussions of what Kiki did. However Darren surprised me. He is different than the regular Alpha guys I read most about. Although he knows her intentions, he does not follow her plans. There is sexual tension between the two despite if they want it or not.

There was great build up in their relationship. And not just in a sexual way, but in a friendship bond they experience. They live their busy lives and have to get through each day without damage. Except Darren has so much burden on his shoulders, it is hard to get involved with Kiki. Until Kiki gets involved with his personal life and realizes they could be so much more.

I am not going to write any more. You need to read it. Absolutely worth it and loved the two main characters. The ending to the story is just what I needed.

My rating would be a 4.6.

Sunny's Review:

I am really glad that I read this book. I read the No Weddings Series and fell in love with the Michaelson family. You got to see a little bit of Kiki in there and I am happy to get to see her story. She is fairly happy and optimistic about most things. She does not really trust guys and as the story unfolds you find out why. I really like Kiki. She has strong opinions and is not afraid to voice them. She is willing to work hard and when she puts her mind to something she goes after it and gets what she wants. In this book, she wants a one-night stand with Darren. I mean, you can't blame her. I would too. Darren is pretty great too. He is private about his personal life but you do know that he is a hard worker and you find out that he puts the people he cares about first. He is not going to let Kiki use him for a night but does offer her friendship. I loved watching them become friends and work out some of their issues together. Darren has had a rough life put in front of him but he keeps plugging along to make the best possible life he can.

There is a lot of great things in this book. You have a little bit of mystery, some laughter, definitely sadness and don't forget the hotness! I love the way Kat and Stone write and I can't wait for more from them. I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5.
