Less gasps this time, but every perfectly powdered face is beet red with embarrassment, causing my mouth to slide into a sardonic smirk.

Truth be told, I love this shit. I love ruffling their meticulously groomed feathers. Their obvious discomfort entertains me. Seeing the rosy hue of coyness bleed through their blush is like a balm to my little, sadistic soul.

“And in that case,” I continue, “you don’t want him anyway. What you do want is for him to be salivating at the soles of your Jimmy Choos. And let’s face it, ladies… that’s not happening. Why do you think that is?”

Crickets. Fucking crickets.

“Anyone? Come on, ladies. I can’t help you unless you want to be helped. So unless you all have picture-perfect marriages and husbands that blow your backs out on a regular, I should see some hands.”

This time I’m rewarded with the almost simultaneous intake of eleven breaths. They’re all still here. All willing to bare their souls and dirty laundry in an attempt to rekindle the doused flame between their thighs.

Sunny's Review:

 This book was a little bit different. The majority of it is a flash back and gives you the background between Kian and Heather. It was an interesting beginning and this book leaves you wanting to know what happens to get from where they were to where Heather is now. I like and hate that. I like it because it is written a little bit different but I hate it because now I have to wait for another to find out the answers. I am not really sure about how I feel about either character. Kian seems like the typical 21 year old jerk who wants to play the field constantly. Heather is a single mother and you have to respect the fact that she is a good mother and works hard for her son. I am not really sure why I did not really like her but I did not feel any sort of connection. That is probably just me and nothing to do with the story or writer.

 

Since I did not really feel connected to the characters I do not really know how I want to rate this book. It is a good story and well written. I read it quickly so in that aspect the book is 4 stars out of 5. I personally don't like the book. I think that it is because I am not a parent and don't really identify with what Heather is going through.

First off I would like to tell you a little bit about me,I am a massive book worm who has been inspired by many talented authors to pursue my own path.
I am a thirty two year old mum to an nine year old wonderful daughter. I am new to the writing scene, and as well as being a mum I run my own small business in massage and holistic therapy's which I started in April 2013. I have not been writing since high school were English was my favourite lesson and I loved writing reports and short stories but I lost touch with it after leaving school and working many bar jobs. I still stayed a massive book worm and love anything from horror, drama and romance to young adult novels. 2013 was were I started making many changes and doing things. Sunny's Review:

You know that I love this series!!! I was a fan from the very beginning of Safe With You. I was a little bit hesitant on this book because I didn't really like Brooke in the other books. She was ok but I didn't really feel like I had a connection or that she was strong enough for her own book. Thankfully, I was really wrong. Brooke ended up being one of my favorites. She is strong but has a very low self-esteem and I could actually identify with her. She makes bad choices and I think we all understand that but at the end of the day she is a good person and just wants to have a decent life. She works hard and obviously loves her friends and grandmother. Adam is AWESOME! I love the nerdy guys. He is still fit and hot but really the principal with glasses...YUMMY! He does not believe any of the rumors about Brooke from day 1. He defends her and does not allow anyone to say anything bad about her in his presence (sigh). When there are problems he stands with her no matter what. I can't really say more b/c I don't want to spoil it but I mean I love Adam.

 

I am giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5. Go read it and make sure you read whole series.

DARRA's Review:

Okay, so we met Penny this past month and have been all about her books. I bought Love Hacked and Sunny bought all three. Yes, she is the hoarder of us. But Sunny owns it! We had to get the books. Penny is Hi-Lar-Ious. We only assume if the author is as interesting in person, the books had to be good. BTW-Best Signed notes by Author by far.

It is true, the book was awesome. Dry humor is something that seems to be a dying breed these days. But Sandra takes the cake. She is the best friend I never had. Sad, but true. If a woman can just have a normal conversation with a man and leave him crying during the date..well Bravo. Quick comebacks and great shirts for each occasion. I loved actually reading about people that scored above a 1300 on their SAT Scores.

And about Alex, hot damn. Genius never sounded so sexy before. If any of the nerds in high school looked like him and was the computer genius of the world when I went, I would have gladly signed myself up for some overachieving AP courses! Alex is by far the most secretive guy. Good reasons yes. Paranoid, absolutely. But when you read the book, you will find out why he sneaks around like a man on a bad acid trip.

So...my review? Forget reading this and buy the book! Penny is smart, witty and entertaining all rolled into one author. Great characters, interesting plots, and Original.

I rate the book a 4.8. Book is muy bueno.
