Imperfect Match, a sexy friends to lovers standalone romance, from New York Times bestselling Corinne Michaels & USA Today bestselling Melanie Harlow, is available now!

Rule number one for a professional matchmaker?
Don’t fall in love with your client.
I screwed that up when I fell for my best friend, Reid Fortino. He’s gorgeous, successful, and sexy as hell. I figured it would be easy to find him a match—and save the family business at the same time.
But the more time I spend attempting to find the perfect girl, the more I realize how much I want him for my own. What’s the harm if we give in for just one night?
I should have known that would never be enough.
Now I’m on the verge of losing my job and my heart.
We were an imperfect match from the start, but I don’t know how to let him go.

Darra's Review:

Imperfect Match is such an endearing story of best friends that become so much more than what was planned. Despite your immediate feeling of wanting Willow and Reid as a couple, friendship is something they can never give up. Then it hits them despite both trying to separate their emotions of needing each other in a romantic level.

With every story, there are hiccups to become the perfect couple, but no matter, every reader is rooting for that happily ever after. No matter the imperfections as both are flawed and do not have everything in common, they fit like a puzzle.

This book is exactly what I would expect from Melanie and Corinne. The book warms your heart.

I rate the book a 4.6 out of 5.

Sunny's Review:

This book was a good, quick read. I really liked both characters from the beginning and read this book in a couple of hours. Leo and Aspen really added some fun to the book too. Reid has the normal man hang ups about life with a little extra screwed up-ness (is that a word?) from his parents. Willow came from a great family and just wanted to have her life the way she planned it. I think that Reid and Willow had a great friendship and the banter was really good. There were some really funny parts that were just real enough to happen in life. I don't want to go into too many details but I recommend this book.

I am giving this book 4.4 stars out of 5. I think that this is a nice vacation read. You get the fun and spirit of good friends, family and laughter with a little heartbreak.

Excerpt:
What would it be like to have her that way? Skin to skin? Breathless and begging? My body inside hers? I want answers, I think as I open the door to our building. No, I need them. I take the elevator up to our floor and go right to her apartment. Using the key she gave me, I unlock her door, smiling that she still hasn’t changed the lock, and head inside. “Reid?” She jumps off the couch and I freeze. Jesus, she’s fucking beautiful. I’ve seen her a million times like this, but I don’t know what it is—I can’t breathe. Her hair is piled up on top of her head in some sort of nest, the glasses that she swears she doesn’t need are on, and her legs ... God, her legs. Long, sweet, slender … they would look perfect around my neck. “What are you doing here? If this is about …” She stops talking and looks at me, her eyes full of confusion as I watch her chest rise and fall. I walk toward her, unable to stand still. My hands grip her cheeks, and I pull her mouth to mine. Her gasp is swallowed by the searing kiss. Her fingers wrap around my wrists and I don’t know if she’s trying to stop me, but I’m going to keep going until she does. Yet she never does. Instead of pushing me away, her hands move to my hips. Willow kisses me back. She kisses me like this is the only option. She kisses me harder and more passionately than the last time. She gives as much as she takes and I fucking revel in it. This is crazy, but I don’t care. It’s right. It’s everything that finally makes sense. I wondered what it would be like and now I know—it’s fucking perfect. “Reid.” She says my name and then pulls my mouth back to hers. I kiss her, loving how our mouths fit and the way her tongue feels against mine. “Tell me to stop.” I give her an out that I pray she won’t take. “What?” “Tell me now, Wills.” I’m desperate for her. Seeing her tonight, knowing she was spying on me, did something to my heart that I can’t explain. It was the answer to the question that neither of us was willing to face. There’s something here. Maybe it’s new. Maybe it’s always been there but we didn’t see it. Maybe Willow and I needed to be pushed. Whatever the reason, the outcome is this. She touches my face. Her fingertips are soft, and she moves her thumb to my lip. “I can’t. I don’t know what’s happening, but I don’t want it to stop.” “Good, because I don’t think I could.” My mouth is back to hers the second the words are out. She giggles against my lips and I drink it in. Everything about Willow is sweet. Her mouth, her laughter, her heart. They all make her irresistible. I don’t know how I never saw it. I break the kiss and scoop her into my arms, bringing her back to the bedroom. She doesn’t say anything, and I’m glad for it. We’re both always in our heads and I’m very much ready to be in her instead. I lay her down and crawl over her, loving how she looks at me with lust-filled eyes. “Tell me what you want, Wills.” She shakes her head and I know what she’s doing, but I’m not having it. “Don’t think, baby, just tell me.” Her lids fall, closing me off to what she doesn’t want me to see, and I take a beat to really look at her. Lips swollen, shirt falling off her shoulder, hair fanning out on the bed. She looks like an angel. “I want you to kiss me,” she whispers.

RB.jpg

“Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow are a match made in heaven. Five-Sweet-Stars for this unforgettable collaboration!” --A.L. Jackson, New York Times bestselling author

Hold You Close, an all-new second chance standalone romance by New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels and USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow, is available now!

HoldYouClose_FullCover_Final_LoRes.jpg
Synopsis
From NYT Bestseller Corinne Michaels & USA Today Bestseller Melanie Harlow, comes a second chance standalone romance.
Ian Chase broke my heart at seventeen, and I’ve spent the last eighteen years hating him for it.
He makes it easy, with his smart mouth and playboy lifestyle—which I unfortunately have to observe since he lives behind me. Every time I see him climbing out of his pool, practically naked and unreasonably sexy, my blood boils.
I’ve always loved to loathe him.
I never planned to need him.
***
London Parish is my little sister’s best friend, not that it stopped me from falling for her.
Our history is complicated. The only thing we have in common is being godparents to my sister’s three adorable kids—until our lives are changed in one tragic moment.
Now we’re trying to raise the children we love, mourn an unthinkable loss, and fight an undeniable attraction.
My life is already upside-down, and the last thing I need is for old feelings to resurface.
Because I’ll never be able to keep her, no matter how hard I try to hold her close.

Only You By Melanie Halow!!!

only you blog tour banner

Only You, an all-new sexy and emotional standalone from USA Today bestselling author Melanie Harlow is LIVE!

MHOnlyYouBookCover5x8_BW_300.jpg

Nate Pearson is ridiculously handsome and wears the hell out of a suit and tie, but I've seen the parade of beautiful women leaving his apartment across the hall-a different one every time-and I want no part of it. When it comes to romance, I'm looking for something real, something that will last: the happily ever after.
As a divorce attorney, he loves to tell me there's no such thing.
As a wedding planner, I choose to disagree.
We disagree on almost everything, in fact. Everything except James Bond. The only time we really get along is when we're watching 007 flicks together, and I'll admit-he has rescued me from a disaster or five. So when one of the baton twirlers from his parade leaves a baby girl at his door with a note that says "I'll come back for her" and he begs me for help, I can't turn him down.
But it's a mistake.
Because watching him with his daughter, I start to see another side of Nate, a side that has my breath coming faster, my body craving his, my heart longing for him to change his mind about love and tell me there's a chance for us.
I don't want to be just another girl leaving his apartment in the morning.
I want to be the one he asks to stay.

Darra's Review:

The beginning of this book made me laugh out loud! It was hilarious and Emme is ridiculous in a good way. Nate is the typical alpha guy stuck in the bachelor life. Emme is just a good friend to him and they enjoy the way it is. Does life stay the same, absolutely not! Nate finds out he has a baby girl and he is clueless. Now he is struggling with this new life he never wanted. Except the one person who was there for him. Nate and Emme get closer than they were before. Emme is a better person than I. So sweet and forgiving. Nate was very lucky to be with her. However I will say Nate redeemed himself in a big way at the end and that was how I wanted it to happen.

I rate Only You a 4.3 out of 5. Crazy beginning and a sweet ending!

Sunny's Review:

I enjoyed this book. There were some funny parts at the beginning of the book and they made me really like Emme and Nate. While Nate is a jerk he is a good friend to Emme and I enjoyed their relationship.  I do like that Nate was honest with most women in his life. Once the baby shows up and he gets over the shock, Nate starts to change and realize that his life will never be the same. There were a lot of realistic parts of this book and I like that. There are some many things that I would like to add but I do not want to spoil this book.

I am giving this book 4.2 stars out of 5. It was a quick, sweet read with some seriously hot scenes. If you need something to read that will make you feel warm and fuzzy, get this book.

Excerpt

“So did you mean what you said last night? About me?” He grimaced, his eyes closing briefly. “I’m sorry about that. I shouldn’t have said it.” “But you think it, right? That I’m a little girl living in a fantasy world?” “No.” He put a hand on my shoulder. “I think you’re an optimist. I think you see good in people they don’t even see themselves. You build people up—especially me.” “You?” I laughed a little. “You don’t need me to build you up.” “Hell yes, I do. You think I’d have been able to handle this whole fatherhood bombshell if you hadn’t been here? If you’d said, ‘That’s what you get for fucking around, asshole. Good luck.’ I shook my head, a strand of hair coming loose from my bun. “I’d never have done that.” “I know.” He tucked the strand behind my ear and moved his hand to the back of my neck. His eyes dropped to my lips. “But I would have deserved it.” I held my breath. Things seemed to be happening in slow motion. His forehead came to rest on mine. And then our noses touched. Our eyes closed. An eternity passed, his lips a whisper from mine. Either one of us could have initiated a kiss. A slight lift of my chin. A little drop of his head. The question—will we or won’t we?—hung there between us, even as his closed lips brushed mine, eyelash soft. I wanted nothing more than to wrap my arms around his neck and fit my body flush against his, but my wrists lay inert on the edge of the sink. Suddenly he spoke, his breath warm against my mouth. “You know that dream you have, the one where you really want to do something, you’re desperate to do something, but you’re paralyzed?” “Yes,” I whispered. “I think I’m having that dream right now.” “Me too.” And then I felt it, the gentle pressure at the back of my neck, pulling my head toward him. It was all I needed. Our mouths came together firmly this time, our lips opening, and I angled my body toward his, throwing my arms around his neck. His hands explored my back while his tongue explored my mouth, and he backed me into the corner, his hips pinning mine against the hard stone counter. He kissed with a fervor and intensity that surprised me, his mouth traveling down my neck, his fingers threading through my hair, pulling the pins loose, his body giving off heat that mine hungrily absorbed. I wanted to get closer to him, wished I could feel his skin against mine. I rose up on tiptoe to press against him, my back arching to fit the question mark curve of his body. He felt big and strong and reassuring, exactly how I wanted him to feel. I wasn’t even sure what it was I wanted reassurance about… My desirability? Our chemistry? Something new and different happening between us? He swept his lips to the other side of my throat, a necklace of soft, insistent kisses that warmed my blood. When his mouth returned to mine, the kiss grew hot and frantic. He reached down and hiked the hem of my skirt to my waist, and I immediately jumped up, wrapping my legs around him. His hands moved under my ass and he carried me like that into the living room, never lifting his mouth off mine. When he reached the couch, he knelt on it and tipped me backward, stripping off his shirt and stretching out above me. My hands moved lightning fast over hot skin, solid muscle. Chest and arms and back—I couldn’t get enough. His hand stole beneath the T-shirt I wore and I arched my back so he could reach underneath me and unclasp my bra, then moaned softly at the feel of his palm over my breasts. Moving down, he shoved the shirt and bra up to my neck and put his mouth on me, his lips, his tongue, his teeth, my nipples hardening into tight little peaks that begged to be licked, sucked, teased, tortured. What are we doing? What are we doing? What are we doing? screamed a voice in my head. I ignored it, hooking my arms beneath his and pulling him up so I could kiss him again. I didn’t care what we were doing. It felt way too good to stop.

Excerpt

“You know, even an alpha male can have feelings occasionally.” “Oh?” She crossed her arms and leaned back against the counter, giving me the evil eye. “Yes. He doesn’t have to be hard as granite all the way through, all the time.” Don’t think about being hard. Don’t think about being hard. Don’t think about being hard. I leaned back against the opposite counter and sort of held my glass in front of my crotch. “Why are you even concerned with alpha males? You’re never attracted to them.” “What? Yes, I am!” “No, you’re not.” I knew her type well. “You’re always saying how you don’t want to be rescued, you want someone willing to show affection and talk about feelings, you don’t like arrogant or competitive guys or guys who always have to win, you like guys who get along with everyone—” “What’s wrong with that?” “Nothing. But that’s not an alpha male.” She chewed her bottom lip. “But look at Bond. Who is he so worried about protecting? Why is he so driven to kill the bad guys? There must be people he cares about more than himself to put himself in harm’s way so often.” “Maybe he just likes the thrill of the chase.” “Maybe he’s more selfless than you think.” “In this case, I think we’re going to have to disagree.” She sighed heavily, and I knew I had disappointed her by ending the argument in a draw instead of winning or losing it. Any other night, I might have kept it going, but there was something odd going on with me, something that had me wanting to close the distance between us, set her up on the counter, slip my hands beneath that fuzzy white sweater she had on, see what her legs felt like wrapped around my hips. But I knew better. Get her out of here before you do something stupid. “Hey, you got fortune cookies? I didn’t see those.” She reached for the little cellophane bag. “I forgot about them.” “Can I have one?” “You can have them both.” She took one out and cracked it open. “A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not why ships are built.” “Very deep.” She ignored me and went on to the next one. “You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens.” Her lips pursed. “Hm. I don’t want a dangerous ship or a broken heart.” I laughed at the anguish in her tone and expression. “It’s not funny,” she said, shoving pieces of cookie in her mouth. “It means I’m doomed to be unhappy. And then I’m going to die in a shipwreck.” “It means you take things way too seriously.” I tipped back the last of the bourbon in my glass, and set it in the sink. “Well, I’ve got an early morning at the gym tomorrow.” She popped the rest of one cookie in her mouth and brushed off her hands. “I’m going. What time is it anyway?” I checked the digital clock on the microwave. “It’s 11:11.” Her face lit up. “Ooh! Make a wish!” “What?” “It’s 11:11, you have to make a wish.” She closed her eyes for a couple seconds, her lips moving as if saying a silent prayer. Then she opened them. “Did you do it?” I laughed. “No.” “Nate! Hurry up! Make a wish.” She glanced at the clock and flapped her hands agitatedly. “I don’t have a wish to make.” “So make one for me, then. And do it fast, before it’s 11:12.” This time it was my turn to roll my eyes, but secretly I wished that the next guy she fell in love with would love her back the way she deserved, and she’d be happy. But I didn’t close my eyes, and I didn’t move my lips, so she had no idea whether I’d made a wish or not. “Did you do it?” She looked concerned. “Yes.” “For me?” “Yes.” Her mouth fell open for a second. “What was it? What did you wish for me?” I started to laugh as I left the kitchen. “Nice try, Calamity. Even I know you don’t tell a wish if you want it to come true.” The credits were still rolling on the television, and I picked up the remote to turn everything off. “Oh, now you believe in wishes?” She sat down on the couch and tugged on her fluffy boots. No, I wanted to tell her. I don’t, because I learned a long time ago that wishes and prayers and hopes don’t mean anything. No one is listening. But I didn’t tell her that, not only because she was looking up at me with my favorite expression of hers, the one daring me to fight back, but because at that very moment, I heard a noise in the hall. A strange and oddly terrifying noise. I looked over my shoulder toward the door, thinking I must have imagined the sound. Then I heard it again—the unmistakable, ball-shrinking, cringe-inducing sound of a baby’s wail. ONLY-YOU-PREORDER-iBOOKS

Synopsis

Nate Pearson is ridiculously handsome and wears the hell out of a suit and tie, but I’ve seen the parade of beautiful women leaving his apartment across the hall—a different one every time—and I want no part of it. When it comes to romance, I’m looking for something real, something that will last: the happily ever after.
As a divorce attorney, he loves to tell me there’s no such thing.
As a wedding planner, I choose to disagree.
We disagree on almost everything, in fact. Everything except James Bond. The only time we really get along is when we’re watching 007 flicks together, and I’ll admit—he has rescued me from a disaster or five. So when one of the baton twirlers from his parade leaves a baby girl at his door with a note that says “I’ll come back for her” and he begs me for help, I can’t turn him down.
But it’s a mistake.
Because watching him with his daughter, I start to see another side of Nate, a side that has my breath coming faster, my body craving his, my heart longing for him to change his mind about love and tell me there’s a chance for us.
I don’t want to be just another girl leaving his apartment in the morning.
I want to be the one he asks to stay.
