Lovesick by TL Smith Release Blitz and Review

Title: Lovesick
Author: TL Smith
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 1
Goodreads

Synopsis
I couldn’t do broken.

Broken is what he was.

Broken is what I will always be.

To his eyes, that held so much despair, I couldn’t look for long.

To his fist, that clenched so tightly, like he was locking away the sorrow.

To his lips, that never uttered a word, from the years of heartbreak.

And despite it all, I couldn’t stay away from him.

It was like he was drowning in an ocean, and I wanted to grab his face, and whisper to his lips,

“Don’t forget to breathe.”

This was how I fell for a man. A man who was so lovesick, I was afraid he would drown me in that same ocean he was lost in.

Darra's Review:

I am a huge fan of TL Smith's work. Lovesick was a bit different then has last series. However it was written just as well as her prior details. TL has a way to make you fall for the characters. Just like I did with Kee.

She was such a strong woman to go through what she did with her first marriage and then pick up  to live the rest of her life without more destruction. You will automatically hope she gets her HEA. She deserves it. Then Kohl comes in punching walls with anger for what happened in his life.

It was heartbreaking what happened to Kohl. I had a lump in my throat when I found out why he was the way he was. Which made it understandable why he tried to stay away from Kee. Unfortunately sometimes your heart does not mend perfectly to the way it was before. Both of them need help with the heartbreak they lived with each day. But the question is. Can two severely damaged people can be good for each other?

That will be up to you to answer. There was one part I had tears rolling down my face. I think my heart broke a little for both. Everything that happens in the book is for a reason. I was satisfied with the ending. Surprised, yes. But with any great book, there will be unexpected twists and turns.

I rate the book a 4.6 out of 5..
