Heller's Regret by JD Nixon

Heller Series: Book 6:

Synopsis: There’s not much ordinary about Tilly Chalmers’ life as a security officer. Her latest assignments – two jobs involving children; protection of a valuable jewellery collection; and security at an unusual conference – provide plenty of adventures for her. But it’s her private life, including her complex relationship with her beautiful boss, Heller, causing her greatest personal challenges yet.

Darra's Review:

I know that we have talked and posted about Heller several times. Honestly, I can't help it. We need to give a little love to out Australian author, JD Nixon. I have read A LOT of books. Nixon's book's are one of a kind. Love each character, Tilly is one of my favorite characters. And there is not one series that I have read that is anything like this one. There is so much that happens and Tilly is outrageous and hilarious, you love her for that. She is the friend you wish you had.
In this book, Heller has went off to this new top secret assignment and is gone for weeks at a time. Tilly has no way to talk to him and it takes a toll on their relationship. But Tilly has enough going on in her life that she does not have time to brew on Heller being gone. The book starts out with her being sent off before she can go back to work. All I can say is....Fat Camp. LMAO!
JD Nixon's book are nonstop. There is always something that happens with each assignment she goes on. And by the time the book closes you are sad that there may be a fall out with Tilly and Heller. Who is there for Tilly when she someone the most? That was the problem.

Here is my issue. The last few sentences of the book, I really said at loud "Really, you have got to be kidding me". Meaning, I can't believe you left me hanging JD. My other issue is Book 7 will be the last. NNNNNOOOOOO. I hate reading the last book of a series you have spent so much time loving each character. Sometimes I just can't handle the anguish I know I will endure reading the ending.

I would rate this book a 4.7. If I rated the Series...a 4.8. READ THE SERIES. YOU WILL LOVE IT!
