Synopsis:

Alexa Drake is at the top of her game. Heading up the London office for Patrick Collins Media, she’s done what it takes to get to the top and have the career and independence she’s always wanted. “You know what this is about? This is the first time you’ve had to compete for my attention and you have no idea how to handle it. You’re so used to me being at your every beck and call.” She laughs. “You should just face the fact. I don’t belong to you anymore. You’re not the only man.”

Scott stands and paces the living room, running his hands over his head. She’s never seen him so agitated. Alexa is shocked to realize his angst over her is a complete turn on.

“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? Driving me crazy like this,” he asks.

“Every second of it, actually.”

     Darra:  What do you think of Alexa, your boss pre Scott vs. post Scott?

Jennifer: Alexa before Scotty showed up was all business, a bit cold, and I could tell she was lonely and unhappy. When Scott showed up, I could tell straight away that he had a special place in her heart but for some reason she resisted. Of course I learned why she was hesitant but once they finally found their way, it was like meeting a whole new Alexa. She smiles now, puts her guard down, and even laughs. Our office environment has been way better since her and Scotty worked things out. I’m really happy for her.

Sunny:   Do you consider Alexa as a close friend?

Jennifer:  I do. Since Alexa didn’t know a soul in London when she moved here, I stepped in and helped. Every now and then she would put her guard down enough to let me see the real woman in there and I adore her. This whole Scotty business brought us even closer and I really value her friendship. She doesn’t always seem like it, but Alexa is actually a really sweet person. She just thinks she has to hide it.

D:    Did you like Scotty the Hotty as a person?

J: Hmmm. (taps chin with index finger.) I get a little flustered around Scotty. It’s getting better now that he’s here every day and his intensity has mellowed a bit. I really liked him at first and wanted him with Alexa, then I wasn’t so sure after all that drama went down. Now, I’ve warmed up to him and I think he’s awesome. He and Alexa make a great power couple and he’s really quite funny. I really hope they get married and have babies!

D:   What did you think about Alexa and Scott’s relationship once you knew truth?

J: Oh my gosh! How shocking that was for me. I mean, Alexa Drake is no pushover and I   just couldn’t believe they had that kind of dynamic. I saw Alexa in a completely different light after that. Once I really thought about it though, it made sense. Scott Patrick is a very intense, larger than life person, and Alexa’s resistance to him made much more sense to me after I learned about the nature of their relationship. I don’t judge it at all though, if it makes her happy. Besides, I’m not one to talk about kinky relationships (winks and blushes a bit).

S:   How did you feel about what Scott did to Alexa once they broke up?

J: Do you mean that whole New York business? (Frowns and flips her hair.) I’ve never wanted to hit a person more after I found out about that. I just wanted to walk up and kick him as hard as I could in the ba….( stops speaking, and smiles sweetly). Anyway, I was mad. I didn’t know about it for a while and by the time I did, they had reconciled. I had a talk with Scotty about it one night and he told me he was so mad at himself for doing what he did. It was a great lapse in judgment. I believe he was truly gutted over it. He didn’t think he was ever going to get Alexa back so he was acting out. Now it’s really clear why Alexa reacted the way she did. But it’s all in the past, and I know more about the two of them. I’ve forgiven Scotty for being such a jerk. Plus, if you saw how he looks at Alexa every day, well, it’s obvious she’s the only woman for him.

S:   After Alexa left for those 3 weeks, did you think she would come back?

J:  I was definitely worried she wasn’t going to. At first I thought a few days away would be good but when it turned into weeks, I was scared. Then when she said she was going to leave for good, my heart broke. That’s why I helped those crazy boys find her.

D:       Did Brett pursue you or vice versa?

J:  (Stares off into space for a moment.) We were spending a lot of time together during that whole crisis with Alexa. I thought he was way out of my league so when he asked me to dinner, I was giddy. So I guess you could say he pursued me. I really thought Alexa was going to be angry with me or it would be awkward because, well you know what happened with them. But she’s been really cool and supportive.

D:       When did you realized you liked Braveheart, I mean Brett?

J:  (Giggles and blushes). The minute I saw him. He’s super handsome and his accent is dreamy. He’s so eloquent and his presence is soothing. I was always drawn to him, even when I thought Alexa might date him. I’m not sure if he was attracted to me at first, again because of Alexa. I mean, have you seen that woman? She’s unbelievable. So when he asked me out, I was gobsmacked.

S:     Would you move to Spain to be with Brett?

J: (Looks nervously over shoulder) Oooh, that’s a sore subject at work. Alexa is not ready to deal with that. But, if things keep going as well as they have been, I could see myself going back to Spain (blushes again). I love it there, and I would get to see my family more often. It would be really hard not to see Alexa every day though but I’d manage.

S:   What do think of Brett once he told the truth about himself?

J:  Well, it was a bit shocking but then it became obvious to me why Alexa

might have been interested, even if it was momentarily. She likes control. For

me, I’m very open minded. I think whatever two consenting adults want to do,

is fine with me. Braveheart, yes, I call him Braveheart to his face, taught me    

what to do and I rather like it now. (Giggles) It’s so odd talking to strangers

about my private life. Anyway, I think it’s fun and it’s not every time, ya know.

Sometimes, we do things a bit more mainstream. We have a good balance.

(Smiles and blushes).

Absolutely enjoyed the book. It was a up and down roller coaster. Really liked Alexa. She is composed and in control of all situations....until Scott showed back up. What to say about Scotty... You love him, you hate him and then you love him in the end. And I really liked Brett too. Two guys are the ying and yang to the situation. But when Scotty shows up and puts Alexa back into her place, shocked. Holy crap, I didn't see that coming. And Brett, Holy crap I didn't see that coming. And the only true, real person that is level headed is her friend at work, Martina. And she gets to see ALL of the drama. It gives a good point of view from both Alexa and Scott, which I like. I did love Martina too. I am so glad we got to hear from her what she thought about the craziness of Alexa's love life. You are going to read this. Don't fool yourself. I give this book a 4.3 out of 5.

OK...this book was really AWESOME!!! I think I read it in a day...SO GOOD!!! I enjoyed getting to see what someone could turn out like after the dom/sub life.  You have Alexa who is a very strong girl in a position that takes a lot of control and ambition. You would never think that she started out as a total submissive. You are even shocked when you see her reaction to Scotty the Hottie! Just totally unexpected...then you see the dynamics with Braveheart and OMG WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT THAT COULD HAPPEN???!!!???  I would recommend this book. I like the characters and let me tell you Martina was one of my favorites so we were very happy to interview her.  I would give this book a 4.2 out of 5 stars.
