WARNING: ADULTS ONLY. This book contains Graphic Violence and Sexual Situations

It’s a love story set in the violence and turmoil of an invasion by Alien beings. Corrupt government officials and violent gangs, all of them wanting their share of the spoils. Amidst the sexual tension, and personal conflict, they know that they to put their feelings aside and do what needs to be done before it is too late. Failure to accomplish their goals will only result in death, not only for themselves but for every living thing on the planet.

Carline and Ferris had dealt the Invaders a major setback by blowing up one of the antennas and destroying their equipment. Forced now to move away from the beach area of Waikanae, they moved inland towards the center of town with the goal of locating a transmitter they could use to contact the military and pass on what information they had gathered about the Invaders.
Little did they know, that the collaboration of the gangs was just the tip of the iceberg, and ran a lot deeper than they could ever imagine.

After helping two women escape from their attackers, they take Carline and Ferris to a building they consider safe, but things are not as they seem. The building holds its own secrets, as do the two women they just rescued.

Ginny and Carmella join forces with Ferris and Carline after they discover what each other is trying to do. Close relationships between the four of them quickly develop with each of them knowing they might not survive for much longer. The four of them set out to rid Ginny’s mysterious Green Mountain of the gang members and the Invaders. Their mission is to find out what is there the invaders want and why.

Other eyes are watching them as well, those of the supernatural world that have charged them with the return of a sacred object supposedly hidden within Green Mountain.

W.M. Clarke

Born in New Zealand sometime around the middle of last century, and according to my mother, I was found under a cabbage plant when asked where I came from. During these early years I spent a lot of time with my Grandparents. My Grandfather was a fisherman and owned a small fleet of ocean going fishing boats. Before I was 5 years old I knew how to strip down the engines and how to mend and make fishing nets. All these good things taught to me, I was sure would hold me in good stead at some future time.

So armed with new found knowledge of engines, fishing nets, and that I just grew; I was packed off to Elementary School to begin years of tedious book learning. I remember the first few days quite vividly, wondering home at the first break in class and my mother asking me why I was home. My reply to that was "The teacher said I didn't need to be there anymore and I knew everything I needed to know." This was a concept that suited me right down to the ground. But for some unknown reason Mom didn't see it that way. So I had my sorry butt dragged back to that place, where I was to remain for a whole year.

At the years end, I was told I was not going to be going back to the old school, which for your information suited me just fine. The trouble was I didn't hear the rest of the what was being said. I spent that Christmas break enjoying the feeling that school was done for me and I was finally free to do as I pleased until I was old enough to go out to work.

Can you imagine the shock I felt when the Christmas break was over and I find my scrawny ass being dragged out of bed at the ungodly hour of 7:00 a.m. on that Monday morning. (You can insert whatever cuss words you know in here. It's all good.) A new school, new teachers...oh, crap!

I found myself becoming a foundation pupil of a brand new school. Windley School, a name to be feared in future years. It was during this first year at the new school, that we moved to a new house closer to the school.

By the time I was about 8 this learning thing had become a bad habit. Forced into attending this "School" 5 days a week was getting to be a bit of a drag. Although I did find I had the knack for making people laugh and generally getting teachers a tiny bit pissed at me. (Good stuff!) I discovered writing and I found that I could get a few laughs out of it. The teacher would say I want a 500 word essay from everyone by this afternoon. (Which translated into, I don't feel like teaching right now I need to rest.) Hell! With only 500 word, I had barely gotten started on the first part. I think the teacher actually feared asking for a word count. While my classmates moaned and groaned about it being so long, I was happily filling my exercise book full of words and dream worlds.

I always knew when the teacher got to my book. There was an audible sigh from her when she opened it.
"Clarke come here! " She would say. "Do you know what 500 words mean?"
"Yes Ma'am." I'd answer.
"What does it mean? Tell me!"
"Not enough Ma'am." Which usually earned me a slap on the hand from her, much to the enjoyment from the rest of the class.

High School was an eye opener for me. I discovered Girls, lots of girls to occupy my time with. I also during this time I met a local poet, who ended up being my English teacher. Sam Hunt was one of the few people that actually tried to help me develop a style that suited my personality. But unfortunately his time there was limited, and he was coming into his own peak. His poetry and needs took first place. I couldn't blame him for that. If I was at the peak of my career I would have done the same thing as well.

Once out of High School I met a young man that was to become a close and dear friend for many years after. We were destined to share a friendship that would lead both of us through a great deal of harrowing times and adventures. We rode motorbikes together, got into no ends of trouble. Tried our hands at riding in the rodeo for a couple of seasons thinking we might make a few dollars.

Around 1975, we found ourselves in what was then Rhodesia as part of the Rhodesian Security Forces fighting in the so called Bush Wars. My parents and that, all thought I was safely tucked away in Auckland working my ass off there. Both of us returned to New Zealand, changed in a way that neither of us had expected. We were hard and rugged, far more used to living in the bush than in civilization.

I met the woman who was later to become my wife in 1980. I help raise her two young daughters, and my own daughter was born four years later. My friend Denny was still in my life and my wife was friends with his sister. During this time I worked as a Security specialist for Businessmen and a couple of Foreign Diplomats.

1998, my marriage had ended and it was time for me to move on. I end up here in the US of A and this is the place I now call home. For 14 of the last 18 years I have served and protected this country in one way or another as a Contractor or a Security Specialist. For me now, my wars are done. I have returned to what I feel comfortable with. I have a new career wife and family to consider.

I write full time now, and do a little design work on the side to keep the wolves from the door. I have Ghost written two novels for others in the last 18 months. Written, edited and published 1 art book for a friend (currently in print as a 2nd Edition), and I will release it as a Kindle eBook shortly for those who like to follow artists and their works. My own Science Fiction Novel Shadow Warrior Book One is due out in a month. Book two in the series is just about finished and hopefully be released on Kindle by October.

No, I never got to use the skills taught to me by my Grandfather, but neither do I regret it or the time i spent with both him and my Grandmother. As for my past life, if asked I would do it all again! In a heartbeat!

BLURB:

I make my living as a hustler, and I’m great at it.
I don’t have a single tell and use that to my advantage to manipulate any situation.
I’ve always known what a person is about to do before they’ve even decided.

That is, until I met Nell.
I can’t get a read on her, and what’s worse, she doesn’t want anything to do with me.
Which only makes me want her more.

Now I’m in for the hardest hustle of my life.
Somehow I have to convince Nell that she belongs with me.
Good thing I’m always up for a challenge.

Darra's Review:

Nell tells as it is. She has no filter and gets her in predicament's at her work. I can't imagine having to work at a mediocre job and have horn dogs as customers. She is over her work and is upset that she can't grab the job she truly came to Las Vegas. But she makes the best of it.
Gavin, well he was  a bit of a jackass in the beginning. Too cocky and had a absolutely ridiculous. But he is smitten with Penelope. Will not take no for an answer. A little over the top with his want for her, but he cannot except no as an answer.
I liked the friends; Harley, Paige, Scott and Graham. All of them are unique and played huge roles in the book.
The sex scenes were hot, I had moments where I rolled my eyes at Gavin. Really dude? But overall with of the characters made the book. I wasn't completely enthralled with the whole story. It had it's up and downs. Not the strongest from the two authors. But I never read a book about a gambler. So that was new.

I rate the book a 4.2.

EXCERPT:

Casually, I sit on the side of the table and take a sip of my drink as I let her eyes peruse my body. It’s a power move. Even though I’m eager to get to know this little hellion, I mask my reaction to her. Never show and tell, especially with women.

I can feel her eyes scanning me, focused on the bit of exposed skin near the collar of the shirt. They then travel down my stomach – little does she know what’s hiding underneath my clothing – and then to my crotch, then she immediately refocuses on her hands. I caught her though, she’s a goner as far as I’m concerned.

“Penelope Prescott,” I start, but I’m quickly interrupted.

“Nell.”

“Excuse me?”

“Everyone calls me Nell,” she clarifies.

I set my glass down and study her before saying, “Too bad for you, I’m not everyone.” Her mouth falls agape for a second before she closes it, trying not to let her shock show. I have a rather up front personality, it can catch some people off guard. Clearly, she’s one of them. “Now tell me, Penelope, how long have you worked for Hotel Paragon?”

I know the answer to my question, but when you’re holding the upper hand, you not only want to show power, but you also want to make the other person feel as though they have some control over the situation, when in fact, they don’t. Poker 101.

She wrings her hands together on her lap. Tell number one.

She’s nervous, but there’s a confidence in her eyes that almost boasts a cocky air around her. Unfortunately for her, I’m a master at reading people, so she’s doesn’t fool me one bit.

With her head held high, she answers, “A little over a year now.”

I nod. “And how long have you been working in the high roller room?”

She bites her lip before answering. Tell number two.

“It’s my first day today.”

I nod again. “And before you started, were you informed that the men playing at the table you would be serving are valuable members to this hotel, some of our most lavish and esteemed customers?”

She twirls a strand of hair around her finger. Tell number three.

“Yes, sir.”

“Mr. Saint,” I inform her.

“Sorry, yes, Mr. Saint.” She grits out my name, as if it’s painful for her to say.

HER KIND OF CRAZY by NINA LEVINE
I instinctively reach out to grab something to hold on to in an effort to halt my fall. Silly really, because I'm stepping out of the taxi right in front of the hotel lobby doors and there is nothing to grab hold of.
Well, generally there's not.
Today, however, there is.
"I've got you," a man says as his hands slide under my arms and he stops my collapse.
This all happens in a blur, but at the sound of his deep voice, my head snaps up so I can look at him.
Oh. My.
Mesmerising blue eyes capture mine for a moment before I drop my gaze to appreciate his sexy, bearded smile. In my experience, those kinds of lips promise many things that a girl like me doesn't have the time for. I'm all for fun sexy times, but it's the heartbreak a man like him promises that I don't have the time for.
Lips don't lie.
Neither do tattoos, and as my attention diverts from his lips to his neck and down to his arms, I see tattoo after tattoo.
Uh-uh.
Tattoos and I do not go together.
I gather myself and look back up into his eyes. Steadying myself, I move out of his hold and say, "Thank you."
He's stopped smiling, but his lips twitch and his eyes twinkle. "You're welcome."
I narrow my gaze on him. Why is he looking at me like that? Like I amuse him. "Are you laughing at me?"
He continues to watch me with that same lip-twitching gaze. "Do I look like I'm laughing?"
Gripping my bags tighter, I square my shoulders. "No, but there's something going on in your mind and I'm sure it's some kind of laughter at my expense."
He runs his fingers through his brown hair. He's got one of those haircuts where it's really short on the sides and the rest is styled into that sexy, tousled look—the kind of look that makes my belly flutter. His voice distracts me from thinking about his hair when he replies, "Let's just say I'm amused when a woman, who is clearly attracted to me, flinches at my tattoos. They're just ink on skin; they don't tell you about the kind of man I am underneath all that art."
"I'm not attracted to you," I snap.
I'm not.
Really.
His brows rise. "No? Could've fooled me."

Release Date: April 16, 2016
Add to Goodreads TBR
When these two opposites attract, mistakes will be made. Lots of mistakes. Big, long, hard mistakes. Over and over, and over again…

When Emily Cole’s suitcase explodes on a crowded airport baggage claim in her new hometown, sexy cop Luke Nolan is the first to pick up her most intimate items, including her 7.5-inch, 20-speed, hot pink battery-operated-boyfriend!

In town to run the Winslow Inn on the picturesque island in Lake Michigan, Emily is determined to put her bed-and-breakfast in the small town's spotlight—while also keeping herself well out of it. But her sexy nemesis is bent on getting her into trouble, and when her impulsive retaliation to his teasing lands her in the local jail, Emily is ready to shove her tormentor into the lake… or the nearest bed.

Luke has one job—to keep the quiet, sleepy island town quiet and sleepy. No drama. No surprises. No tragedies. Never again. But the strawberry-blonde with the porn star mouth and interesting luggage turns his life upside down from the moment she sets foot on the island, and what began as a distraction from his memories of That Day, quickly turns into something more. Trouble is, Luke doesn’t want more with Emily—she’s not his type. She’s the opposite of his type. Until his brother Noah’s wedding, when bridesmaid Emily shows up with a sexy new look and their sweet tease escalates to a scorching hot hook-up that makes him forget why he was resisting the shy stutterer in the first place.

Getting involved with her would be a huge mistake, though it just might turn out to be the sweetest mistake of his life.

Our reviews of eXrated by Stevie J. Cole!!!

Title: EXRATED
Author: Stevie J. Cole
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 2, 2016

Blurb

Tyler Westbrook, better known as Johnny Depth, is taking the adult film industry by storm. With his playboy looks, it’s no surprise a few coworkers have attempted to take things off set and into the bedroom, but Tyler refuses to blur the lines between work and play…until the new assistant to the director walks in.

Jemma Morgan was recently fired from a lead role on a kid’s TV show that was supposed to be her big break. Unable to get another acting gig, she's accepted a job in an industry she never expected to be a part of. Although she anticipates being shocked her first few days on set, nothing could prepare her for the moment she's asked to hold the reflector as her ex-boyfriend plows through a woman like a Kansas cornfield.

In a world of butt-plugs, lube, and fake moans, is there a place for a second chance? Exes and some serious ohs…the term ex-rated just took on a whole new meaning.

Darra's Review:

The synopsis sounded funny and unique. So I had to sign up for this book to read.  You are thrown into the world of porn immediately. If you're a person that gets embarrassed easily reading about adult toys and sex scenes, you should pass. If you have a crude sense of humor like me, bring it on.
What an awful position Jemma was put in because of one video. She had to get a job and fast. Then she see's her ex that broke her heart. She didn't want to be in his life anymore because he left her years ago. Funny how things pan out in life. Lets just say they were put in a place that makes the word awkward belittle the state they had to work with.
I liked both characters. It is hard to imagine to love a person that screwed you over and also does it literally. I tried to think about how I would feel being in her shoes. Rough. I think I would give in to Tyler earlier. But hate him the same time. Conflicted until the end.
I loved the book. We talked about the book afterwards and laughed even more about the story. The OMG moments; I can't believe what Benson did! And did they really not wash them? The hotel room porn scene, LOL! Too funny!

This is a mixed review. I absolutely enjoyed the book. Made me laugh until 12 at night. You will read this in 2 days. I could not help but read more each night and sometimes in the morning. Okay, very hard to read when your boss is watching you. Don't try it at work.

I rate the book a 4.6. It is a fun read and I think if you enjoy laughing at unimaginable story, this is for you!

Sunny's Review:

So this book. I don't even really know where to start. It is hilarious. I mean there are so many parts where I was like OMG and then I was LOLing. I mean does this stuff really happen??!!?? I am not going to lie. I didn't like the first part of the book. I didn't really like either character. I wanted to like Tyler but I just couldn't. I really didn't like Jemma at all. I will say that as the book went along, I ended up liking Tyler and Jemma was okay. I still didn't really like her that much but I didn't hate her. She really is a little bit of a hypocrite but like I said, I didn't hate her. I kind of understand her point of view but I also haven't done some of the things that she did sooooo....

Anyways, this book is seriously laugh out loud funny. I did make the mistake of reading some of it at work during my lunch. I don't recommend that! I will say that this book caused Darra and I to have a couple of long NSFW conversations. I recommend you reading this at the same time as someone you know so you can have someone to laugh and talk with. I loved the second half of the book and I think one of my favorite parts is the last page. I mean oh boi.

If you need to laugh this is the book for you. I am giving this book 4.4 stars out of 5.
