This book...I mean...WOW! I have so many feelings on this. You get pulled into the book from the very first line. I read this book in about 2 days. I could not put it down! I really like Hazel. She is strong and works hard, plus she keeps her apartment a mess and I can totally understand that. Who has time to clean these days. I bring this up because I feel like Tara did a great job making this story realistic. I grew up in a small town in the south and the description of this town reminded me so much of that town. So realistic. I can honestly say that I hated Phil from the beginning and I was so glad when she dumped him. I have so many mixed feelings on Cash. I want to totally love him but I have so many more questions.

 

Tara Dawn has left me sitting here going, WHAT THE HELL??!!??? I love a good cliffhanger and Tara Dawn delivered. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I am giving this book 4.8 stars out of 5. Go get it and get started. I promise you won't be disappointed. I literally had dreams about this book. So good!!!

"Strip."

She stands there for a moment staring at the ground, her shaky hands twisting together.

"Do not make me do it for you, Hazel."

Slowly she unbuttons and unzips her pants. I love that sound. She pushes them down and steps out on unsteady legs. Her hands go the hem of her shirt and grip it so tightly her fingers start turning white. Taking a shuddering breath, she pulls it over her head and drops it to the floor. Her bra and panties are awfully nice for going to work in. She must have worn them for him. Anger scorches my veins at how little she thought of me on our date. She didn't wear anything like this for me. I admire her body in her pretty underthings wishing I had seen the bruises that formed by my hand. As I get to her stomach, my eyes grow wide and a smile spreads over my face. Tiny pink streaks trail down where my fingers once raked her skin. If I thought my dick wouldn't work for a while after she nailed it, I was wrong.

"Take those off too. He's not here to see them."

Against her wishes, I make her shower. She tries to close the curtain, but I pull it open. Shivering beneath the water, she washes her body and tries to hide as much of herself as she can. The suds on her slick flesh make me ache to pinch each and every one until they pop. An image of blood oozing out of every bubble as it bursts has my heart pounding in anticipation of what's to come. Unable to wait any longer, I shut the water off and yank her from the tub. She slips out and lands against me, the water on her body soaking into my clothes.

Without a second thought, I pull her into her bedroom and shove her onto the bed. Looking around, I spot some scarves on top of her dresser and grab them. I attempt to grab her wrists, but she fights me and scoots away on the bed. The word no slips from her lips. My vision blurs as I grow more furious. I hate the word no. I despise being told no. Before I know what's happening, my emotions get the better of me and my fist strikes her face. There's an audible pop and blood gushes from her nose. It makes me think of the bleeding bubbles.

Her hand covers her face as she chokes on her sobs and the blood. It seeps through her fingers dripping on her chest in slow motion. Each drop exploding as it lands on her skin. My darkness, her life. The perfect mix of truth in my world.

This series is freaking amazing. I loved it. I could not put this book down. You have to read Bloodspell first so you know what is going on. You will fall in love with the characters. I was a little annoyed with Tori at first. I mean if you have a book that will tell you about your ancestors and help explain what you are...READ IT! Okay, maybe I would be hesitant if it was my life and it is scary but still. I love Tori. She is not afraid to be her own person and even when she finds out that she can't or shouldn't be with Christian she still chooses him (in the beginning at least). I won't tell you if she chooses him in this book again. Anyways, Tori wants to meet the other witches and work on getting control of her powers. I love that you get to see more witches and their world more than you do in the first book. You also get to learn more about Christian in this book. I love him. I was not too sure about him in the first book. I liked him but in this book I loved him.

 

There are so many things that you learn about this world in these books and I love the endings. I can't wait to read more from Amalie Howard. She is going to the top of my author list for fantasy. I like that you get twists and turns and there is romance but mystery too.

 

I am giving this book 4.7 out of 5 stars. Go get it and get started!!!

I must start this review with my thoughts about the ending. Epic. The beginning of a story along with the ending are of most importance to me. The end blew my mind and I will be losing my mind till Soulless comes out in February. Bear starts out in an MC club. However you must read the first two books to know what happened to him after he left.

It leaves a lump in my throat just thinking about what happened to him in his life. Ti's life has became an absolute nightmare at the beginning of the book. So disturbing and it will stick in your mind throughout the story. Both characters have became who they are because of what horrible things that occurred in life. The story is very detailed when describing this. However I wish at times it would move on to the current life. The book was a little slow in the middle. But about 75% in, you are cringing just thinking about the end. I cannot believe T.M. Frazier did this to me!

Again, the ending is leaving me frustrated and needing more of Ti and Bear. OMG about Ti. You wish death upon other characters. It almost makes me worry just thinking what happens at the beginning of Soulless.

Read this book! Especially if you liked the first two books. You will love Bear even more knowing about his character before he met Ti as a kid and after she became an adult. 

I give this a book a 4.5. Read the series!

“I’m going to remember this as the worst time in my entire life. The very worst.” She shook her head. “There is nothing I can do to change that.  Girls my age are playing sports, going to dances and parties, kissing boys.  And that’s never been me.  I’ve had a full time job at the grove and a part time job at the Stop-N-Shop. I’ve done nothing over the last few years except work my ass off and watch my family fall apart. She took another hit off the bowl, passing it back to me.  Her coughing much less than it was on her first try.

“Seventeen,” She said, sniffling.  “Eighteen soon.”  

“You ever been kissed?” I asked, her eyes met mine. “And not a peck on the cheek or a brief smack of the lips, but a real fucking kiss? One that leaves you without air in you lungs and your thighs pressing together in search of more?”  I said, my voice coming out deep and strained.  My cock coming alive at the thought of tracing my tongue along her pump lips.  

“Why?” She whispered, and as soon as the words left her mouth I knew there would be no coming back from what I was about to do.  

I pushed off the fire pit and pulled her up off the chair, pressing her tits into my chest and my straining cock against her stomach.  I tipped her chin up and looked into her confused emerald greens. She followed my thumb with her eyes as I traced her bottom lip.  There were too many lines marring her face, questioning what it was I was up to.  I knew she would try to pull away at any second, try to stop me.  But it was too late for that.  

I was beyond stopping.  

Just one taste.

“Answer the question,” I pressed.  

“No,” she said with a slight shake of her head, and before she could try to argue, I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers.

I was already going to hell.
