Will he go after his old dreams when given the chance? Will Poppy sacrifice her dreams for his? Or will she let him go?
**This book is recommended for a mature audience, age 18 and older, due to language and explicit content.

Sunny's Review:

So I read the 1st 2 books in this series and I loved them. You get to see a little bit of Ford in Just One Reason and I was undecided on my feelings for him. Honestly, there was not enough to make a decision. He was moody and didn't really say much. This book is about him and how his life changed after his football career was ended before it really even started.

I ended up loving Ford. He is great and you see how all he really cares about is his mother. He knows all the sacrifices that she made for him and he just wants to take care of her. He plans on drafting early b/c she has cancer and he wants to be able to pay for the best doctors to help her fight it. I mean how can you not love him for that. Most of the time you assume athletes are looking at what they can buy and status not helping the people who got them where they are.

Poppy is interesting b/c she understands how hard death is on the people left behind. Her father died of cancer and she didn't get to say good-bye. She helps Ford try to deal with his mother's impending death. She is a really strong girl. She does not let him walk all over her and is always there for him.

I am giving this book 4.3 stars out of 5. I think that you should get it and read it. It is a little bit of a tear jerker but totally worth it.

My Today by HJ Bellus!!!

My Today
My Way Series, Book Two
By: HJ Bellus

Lacey’s Story…

Covering up pain is easy. It’s keeping it tucked away that’s hard. I’ve always needed the cover of tattoos to hide the nasty past that leached its way into me, tainting me beneath my skin. Not the shiny, trendy tats, but the ugly broken kind, meant to keep the world at bay. If they weren’t enough, then my piercings, foul mouth and crazy hair usually did the trick. Life had taught me to never follow the rules, because when you do, you get burned.

That philosophy served its purpose, until I met someone who turned my life upside down. Milly, the little hoochie, stormed into my life and changed everything with her undying faith in me, her love and her shitty coffee concoctions. I found a family in Milly, and her sexy farm boy, Cree. She accepted me without hesitation, and never ran from the dark and dangerous secrets that I harbored. My new family loved me unconditionally, with their showers of sprinkles and impromptu dance parties.

My life was perfectly imperfect until Tripp and his crazy-ass ideas of princesses. Our relationship is what most would describe as fuel meeting fire. We were both hell bent on burning each other to the ground. Tripp, fresh out of rehab, moved in with Milly and Cree to try and make a new life for himself. Tripp, the sexy as hell, charismatic beast, soon became one of my best friends. We shared our love of ice cream and tattoos as we blazed our own path that could only lead to a beautiful train wreck. The only question left is, will we set the countryside ablaze with our hot tempers and foul mouths, or will we paint our own happy ending filled with all the gushy shit normal people crave?

Sunny's Review:

So I read My Now and Forever and got to know most of the characters. You did not really get to meet Tripp in that book but you did meet Lacey. You can tell that she is a good friend and caring person. You can tell that she has had a hard life but she never really says what it is. She does come down on herself pretty hard and that is annoying but I realize that a lot of people do that as a defense mechanism.
Tripp is Cree's cousin and has also had a rough life. Granted he was not poor or abandoned but he did have parents that hated him and was the black sheep in his own family. Cree and his family were the only ones that ever really took care of him. Tripp's brother loved him too but he was killed right after graduation. Tripp had a life as a pro baseball player but threw it all away when his brother died.
Lacey and Tripp understand each other on a level that most people would not understand. They are really made for each other in the fact that they both understand how jacked up life can be and nothing is guaranteed.
There are some things that I really liked about this book but there were things that I did not like. I personally don't really like the abrasive girls that are in your face and cuss or are crude so in that aspect I couldn't really get on board with Lacey.  Again, here comes my judgey side...Tripp had a cocaine addiction and it didn't make me warm and fuzzy for him. The story is really good and I enjoyed it but I personally could not identify with either character. I don't want to give this book a low rating since the story is good.
I am giving it 3.8 stars out of 5. I think a lot of people will like it better than I did. I recommend reading this series. There are a lot of really funny parts and you get to see a group of broken people make a family.

Whose parents abandon them in a trashy trailer when they are five years old? Oh Yeah! Mine do!

Hey Hoochies! I'm Milly, and I am tired of taking kicks to the gut. A broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of loved ones have left me crying Uncle, and declaring a serious case of the Fuck-Its!

I had my heart broken, stomped on and shattered before I ever started on my journey to find my little piece of happiness. With a bucket list, a '66 Ford and wild dreams, I set out on an adventure that changed my life forever. Follow me on my journey that resurrected my inner badass.

I found my soul sista from another mista, and opened my dream shop along the way. Just when I gave up on finding true love, a pirate and a princess swept me off my ever lovin' feet and filled my world with sprinkles, mac n’ cheese and the courage to live again. They forced my fragile heart to trust and love without fear.

Truth is, nobody’s past stays hidden forever. It’s an invisible monster waiting to attack and destroy. It has the capability to ruin everything you’ve worked to set right. All it takes is one final blow to the gut to end everything.

Sunny's Review:

Most of you probably do not know but I do enjoy some of the classical books and while I am not obsessed with Shakespeare I do love a couple of his plays...A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet and Othello are my favorites (in that order).  So this book was nice since the main characters love reading and there were plenty of quotes in the book.

I really like this book because it was kind of sweet. Aubrey is trying to finish school and has to work really hard to get it done. She does not have a lot of money and works to pay her tuition. Her boss is really great and likes her. Daniel comes off as a jerk at first and really not all that great. His description is hot but he dresses like a hobo.  I was not really on board with him at first but as the book goes along and you get to see more of his real side he is kinda dreamy.  I think my favorite part is the fact that they are nerdy enough to flirt with quotes from books as well as use the quotes as communication in more important situations.

I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. I really liked it and think most of you will too. Like I said the characters are nerdy in their love of Shakespeare and I love it!!!

*NA romance- Mature content*
Sunny's Review:
I liked this book. It really shows how much each person's decisions play a part in everyone else's lives. I don't think that we always realize how much the ripple effect actually plays havoc in our lives. This book shows 1 how small of a world it really is and you can know the same people and have no clue. It also shows that even if you think you are doing the right thing whether just surviving or trying to make others lives better your decisions can cause problems you never even imagined.
I like Corbin. He comes off as callous at first but at the end of the day he really just tries to make the best of the situation and wants his family to be OK. Sophia is just trying to survive and find her place in life. They both have a lot of demons they are fighting and need someone that they can finally be honest with. I like how the author shows that in a way all of us are just the lies we make up about ourselves. Different people see different versions of in my closest friends get see a version of me that is a little more real than acquaintances.
I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. I really like it and I think you will enjoy it too so go BUY IT!!!

Paris Love Match by Nigel Blackwell

Piers Chapman had seen Paris,
In pictures,
In movies,
In books.
What he hadn't seen was the mobster.
Or the dictator.
Or the trained killers.
Or the diamonds they were chasing.
But it was Paris,
The city of light,
The city of love.
And a girl had already stolen his heart.
What could possibly go wrong?
Getting a taxi in Paris can be hell. Piers Chapman expected a boring business trip.

A Stormy Spring by CC MacKenzie

She didn’t want a man. She didn’t want love. She wanted to forget.
Though her name is synonymous with success, Becca Wainwright isn’t interested in fame or celebrity. All that matters to her is choreography and how alive she feels when she creates....
Famously single, Lucas Del Garda’s passions are wealth, celebrity and power.
The electrifying attraction between the dancer and PR Guru is instantaneous.
But after a stormy night in the strong arms of Lucas, Becca finds her life has changed, for ever..

The Promise of Provence by Patricia Sands

Surprise, shock, and a shift in her comfortable life tumble into Katherine Price’s world when least expected. The future she has imagined suddenly vanishes, leaving little to focus upon beyond her career and the caregiving her elderly widowed mother might require.
Fate has other plans.
June in Provence is full of promise when Katherine arrives from Canada, eager to feel renewed by her surroundings. Endless rows of lavender prepare to burst into pink and purple blooms. Fields of sunflowers flow in golden waves among vineyards and olive groves. Ancient hilltop villages beckon. It’s the postcard setting she envisioned, but is that all she needs?
After a year of heartbreak, Katherine has impulsively agreed to a home exchange in the south of France. Colorful locals, a yellow lab named Picasso, and the inspiring beauty of the countryside breathe new life into her days.
Seeking to shed the pain of betrayal and loss, she struggles to recapture her joie de vivre and searches for the answer to a haunting question: is it too late to begin again?
As Katherine explores the romantic cobblestone lanes of medieval towns, discovers the intoxicating pleasures of Paris and savours the sun-kissed Côte d'Azur, she begins redefining the possibilities in her life.
An enduring story of hope and change in life’s later years is woven through the author’s love-letter to France. Like a well-travelled friend, Patricia Sands invites readers into a world she loves and entices them to linger.
"Be prepared to fall in love with Provence! This is a story that will draw you in with its vibrancy in setting and characters. A must read for any woman with a desire for romance and travel." Steena Holmes, author of Amazon bestseller Finding Emma.
