Title: Fourth DownAuthor: Kirsten DeMuzio Genre: New Adult Romance Publish Date: October 21, 2013 Cover: Kirsten DeMuzio Reading Information: Third book in series. Can be read as Stand alone Synopsis:
During the biggest football game of his life, Ford Walsh makes a split second decision that will change his life. For the worse. Three years later, Ford is still stuck in that moment – when his leg was broken and his dreams along with it. Not able to move on, Ford trudges through his life, each day more depressing than the last.
Poppy Mitchell has dreams of being a doctor, and she will work night and day to get there. Sweet, focused, and hard working, Poppy forges ahead when obstacles get in her way. When circumstances bring them together, Ford and Poppy develop an unlikely friendship. As they grow closer, Ford is faced with another fourth down decision. Will he go after his old dreams when given the chance? Will Poppy sacrifice her dreams for his? Or will she let him go?**This book is recommended for a mature audience, age 18 and older, due to language and explicit content. GoodreadsSunny's Review:So I read the 1st 2 books in this series and I loved them. You get to see a little bit of Ford in Just One Reason and I was undecided on my feelings for him. Honestly, there was not enough to make a decision. He was moody and didn't really say much. This book is about him and how his life changed after his football career was ended before it really even started. I ended up loving Ford. He is great and you see how all he really cares about is his mother. He knows all the sacrifices that she made for him and he just wants to take care of her. He plans on drafting early b/c she has cancer and he wants to be able to pay for the best doctors to help her fight it. I mean how can you not love him for that. Most of the time you assume athletes are looking at what they can buy and status not helping the people who got them where they are. Poppy is interesting b/c she understands how hard death is on the people left behind. Her father died of cancer and she didn't get to say good-bye. She helps Ford try to deal with his mother's impending death. She is a really strong girl. She does not let him walk all over her and is always there for him. I am giving this book 4.3 stars out of 5. I think that you should get it and read it. It is a little bit of a tear jerker but totally worth it. My Today by HJ Bellus!!!
My Today
My Way Series, Book Two
By: HJ Bellus
Synopsis:
Lacey’s Story…
Covering up pain is easy. It’s keeping
it tucked away that’s hard. I’ve always needed the cover of tattoos to hide the
nasty past that leached its way into me, tainting me beneath my skin. Not the
shiny, trendy tats, but the ugly broken kind, meant to keep the world at bay.
If they weren’t enough, then my piercings, foul mouth and crazy hair usually
did the trick. Life had taught me to never follow the rules, because when you
do, you get burned.
That philosophy served its purpose,
until I met someone who turned my life upside down. Milly, the little hoochie,
stormed into my life and changed everything with her undying faith in me, her
love and her shitty coffee concoctions. I found a family in Milly, and her sexy
farm boy, Cree. She accepted me without hesitation, and never ran from the dark
and dangerous secrets that I harbored. My new family loved me unconditionally,
with their showers of sprinkles and impromptu dance parties.
My life was perfectly imperfect until
Tripp and his crazy-ass ideas of princesses. Our relationship is what most
would describe as fuel meeting fire. We were both hell bent on burning each
other to the ground. Tripp, fresh out of rehab, moved in with Milly and Cree to
try and make a new life for himself. Tripp, the sexy as hell, charismatic
beast, soon became one of my best friends. We shared our love of ice cream and
tattoos as we blazed our own path that could only lead to a beautiful train
wreck. The only question left is, will we set the countryside ablaze with our
hot tempers and foul mouths, or will we paint our own happy ending filled with
all the gushy shit normal people crave?

Sunny's Review:
So I read My Now and Forever and got to know most of the characters. You did not really get to meet Tripp in that book but you did meet Lacey. You can tell that she is a good friend and caring person. You can tell that she has had a hard life but she never really says what it is. She does come down on herself pretty hard and that is annoying but I realize that a lot of people do that as a defense mechanism.
Tripp is Cree's cousin and has also had a rough life. Granted he was not poor or abandoned but he did have parents that hated him and was the black sheep in his own family. Cree and his family were the only ones that ever really took care of him. Tripp's brother loved him too but he was killed right after graduation. Tripp had a life as a pro baseball player but threw it all away when his brother died.
Lacey and Tripp understand each other on a level that most people would not understand. They are really made for each other in the fact that they both understand how jacked up life can be and nothing is guaranteed.
There are some things that I really liked about this book but there were things that I did not like. I personally don't really like the abrasive girls that are in your face and cuss or are crude so in that aspect I couldn't really get on board with Lacey. Again, here comes my judgey side...Tripp had a cocaine addiction and it didn't make me warm and fuzzy for him. The story is really good and I enjoyed it but I personally could not identify with either character. I don't want to give this book a low rating since the story is good.
I am giving it 3.8 stars out of 5. I think a lot of people will like it better than I did. I recommend reading this series. There are a lot of really funny parts and you get to see a group of broken people make a family.

Most of you probably do not know but I do enjoy some of the classical books and while I am not obsessed with Shakespeare I do love a couple of his plays...A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet and Othello are my favorites (in that order). So this book was nice since the main characters love reading and there were plenty of quotes in the book.
I really like this book because it was kind of sweet. Aubrey is trying to finish school and has to work really hard to get it done. She does not have a lot of money and works to pay her tuition. Her boss is really great and likes her. Daniel comes off as a jerk at first and really not all that great. His description is hot but he dresses like a hobo. I was not really on board with him at first but as the book goes along and you get to see more of his real side he is kinda dreamy. I think my favorite part is the fact that they are nerdy enough to flirt with quotes from books as well as use the quotes as communication in more important situations.
I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. I really liked it and think most of you will too. Like I said the characters are nerdy in their love of Shakespeare and I love it!!!

The Truth About Us by TJ Hannah!!!
Synopsis
Twenty-one-year-old Sophia Ross has lived under the pressure of her parents expectations since the tragic accident that shattered their once perfect family. Determined to start over where no one knows her, she answers a housing ad on Craigslist and takes a job at a little bar in a town she has never heard of. All Sophia's looking for is a place to escape, somewhere she can hide behind her lies and keep herself distracted.
She just didn’t expect to be distracted by Corbin Kasey.
Twenty-five-year-old Corbin Kasey is stuck in his hometown, his job, and his life, spending more time covering for his Dad’s problems than trying to fix his own. To take his mind off everything he has the wild Kayla, his stable roommates, and the calmness of swimming in Mills Lake. He always thought it was enough to keep him from drowning in himself, until he meets Sophia.
Neither of them are prepared for their lies to be stripped away by a single kiss. But for Corbin and Sophia, the truth has consequences.
*NA romance- Mature content*
Sunny's Review:
I liked this book. It really shows how much each person's decisions play a part in everyone else's lives. I don't think that we always realize how much the ripple effect actually plays havoc in our lives. This book shows 1 how small of a world it really is and you can know the same people and have no clue. It also shows that even if you think you are doing the right thing whether just surviving or trying to make others lives better your decisions can cause problems you never even imagined.
I like Corbin. He comes off as callous at first but at the end of the day he really just tries to make the best of the situation and wants his family to be OK. Sophia is just trying to survive and find her place in life. They both have a lot of demons they are fighting and need someone that they can finally be honest with. I like how the author shows that in a way all of us are just the lies we make up about ourselves. Different people see different versions of me....as in my closest friends get see a version of me that is a little more real than acquaintances.
I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. I really like it and I think you will enjoy it too so go BUY IT!!!
