STROKED by Meghan Quinn
Scheduled to release: July 20, 2016
NA Romantic Comedy
Cover designer: Indie Solutions by Murphy Rae
Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.
His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.
On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.
I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.
There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.
What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.
Darra's Review:
Super fan of all of Meghan’s hilarious books. This will be
another on the list. She always has great characters, and these are among them.
Meghan Quinn has made the genre comedy romance come back to life. There are
very few authors that can pull this off. She is the queen of comedy romance. My
#1!
Paisley and Reese are great. However let’s talk about
Bellini. It is official. She is by far the worst character I have read. Evil,
check. Superficial, check. Annoying, check. Demeaning to all, check. And her
dog, Pope Francis? Never felt worse for a dog than I did in this book. Bravo on
writing a horrific person. The only plus to her is she does not physically kill
people. She just makes you want to knock yourself out so you do not have to
listen to her pompous ass. If it was possible, I would go into this book and
pull every little hair in her head out. She is now a legend for all the mean
girls in the world.
Paisley is sassy but also down to earth. One person you
would love to be friends with. She is just trying to make it back into the
industry she loves and the job she has to take will be the death of her.
Bellini’s personal assistant. Dear God, have mercy on her soul. Then she meets
Bellini’s “boyfriend”, Reese. Just imagining this guy in a tiny little swim
suit made me drool a little. Have you seen the cover to this book? I am right there with Paisley. I couldn’t stop
myself from climbing all over Reese.
And there was Reese. Love him. He reminds me of Adam from
Newly Exposed. Just a great guy that is fun and you gravitate to. A fun flirt
and a sweetheart. He is in a pickle being stuck with Bellini and wants out.
However being in the spotlight during the trials for the Olympics puts a damper
on anything happening between Reese and Paisley. Screw the silver streak. He
gets all gold on my favorite guy list.
Besides the great story of Reese and Paisley, there are a
few other side characters that peak my interest to know more. Hopefully we will
see another book about them.
Loved the story, loved the characters and love Meghan’s
sense of humor. I kind of liked Bellini because she was such an awful person.
My hats off to you, Meghan. A+ on brewing my hatred for a fictional character.
My rating for the book is a 4.7 out of 5. Meghan, keep
pumping out new books when you can. I don’t think I will get enough of your
writing!
Sunny's Review:
I love the majority of Meghan Quinn’s books. I know if I
have had a bad day and need a laugh, Meghan is my author. She does a great job
making my world fall away and I can get over whatever is annoying me. Stroked
is another winner that made me laugh and fall in love with her characters.
Paisley is your typical girl that needs to find a job and
her bestie gets her a job. Bellini is out of control crazy and nobody wants to work
for her. Reese belongs to Bellini and
there will be hell to pay for anyone that disagrees with that. I like Paisley
and Reese. They are pretty funny and get along great. They have a good
relationship from pretty much day one. There are several comic relief moments
and most of them are actually from Bellini. She is the ridiculously over the
top spoiled girl who uses her dog (Pope Francis) as her moral compass. I love
to hate her.
It is so hard for me to not tell you so many things about
this book. I don’t want to give anything away. Normally, I hate the whole love
triangle thing but I loved this book. I
am giving this book 4.6 stars out of 5 and I can’t wait to see more of these
people. There are other friends and I want to see what they do.

GIVEAWAY:
About the Author:
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
